Continued..

I LOVE THIS BOOK. And I defenitly respect Courtland's decision on keeping her virginity until shes married. Oh! But back to the book..as the book goes on Courtland goes out with some friends. You know just like a night out with the girls. Anyway, Allen's there (her crush, well now her boyfriend). Her bestfriend (Candy) looks at him with a sketchy look. Which had Courtland thinking wonder whats going on? As the chapter goes on, her bestfriend then tells her that Allen use to beat this girl he dated in the past. *GASP* Courtland brushes it off because she feels like its in the past and what he did then doesn't really matter. But in reality it does, because this can happen too her as well.
Further in, Allen takes her to prom and takes her to this NICE resturant, which has her complete shock. He then runs into a coach for a professional basketball team which is kind of ironic. I say that because he wants to play on the team that the coach he saw coaches for. (hopefully that makes since). They ate dinner and during dinner Courtland began to discuss with Allen about how she loved him so much, and he then revealed the threat her dad told him.

Details..

THE BOOK IS GETTING SO GOOD ! Courtland the main character I would say has a lot of thinking to do. There's this boy [Aleen] that's in the book and that was also mentioned in the first post. Come to find out he's in one of her classes. Aleen is good looking and the most popular player on the basketball team. And now hes putting the moves on her. Not sexual but has began to talk to her. He wants her to tutor him since he's "behind". However, Courtland participates in a group that teaches teens that their virginity is a gift and that they should wait until marriage to give the gift away. So she wears a pearl necklace to symbolize that. With that said if Aleen's looking for anything [hint. hint] he's not going to get far. Well lets hope NOT! Also, there's a lot of tension at home. Her father is a workaholic and is not really home much. And when he is he barely pays attention to anyone. Which I personally thinks has a bigger affect on Courtland's mother. OH! Let's not forget Courtland's sister. She loves her gameboy. Every time she's brought up in the book she's playing it. [giggles]
